HIGH-TEMPERATURE PIZZA BAKING PLATE
The thin cordierite plate withstands temperatures over 2,000F, and allows for easier temperature control when baking or smoking. The deflector plate has 3 legs and is used to deflect heat when cooking e.g. pizza or chicken.
KAMADO RACK: EVEN COOKING
Exceptionally useful for even heat circulation. You can use it "upside down" to increase the distance between the heat shield and the bottom cooking grate. The plate deflector works great by letting heat circulate in a ceramic barbecue like the big green egg, preventing food from burning from direct contact with fire.
CAN BE USED AS A HEAT DEFLECTOR
Converts your "egg" into a convection oven. Perfect for baking, cooking pizza, bread and even cookies, low and slow smoking steaks, roasts, whole chickens or ribs. Preheating is best for pizza cooking, but not necessarily for all foods.
